Demag and Tadano Demag Crane Parts: Start With the Data Plate, Not the Search Box

I'm not saying every part has to be stamped by the original manufacturer. I'm saying you have to identify the exact spec first, and then decide which source to trust.

Build a Parts-Info File Before the Phone Rings

So here is my recommendation. Before you need an emergency part, spend ten minutes taking a photo of the machine nameplate. Do that for each Demag crane, hoist, motor, and gearbox in your facility. Store the photos with the serial number and the closest OEM part reference you can find. Do not put it in a manual that stays in a drawer. Put it on the same phone you would use when something fails. If you have an older machine, add the exact model series and any revision history you know. That file is worth more than any overnight shipping account.

When you call a supplier, you shouldn't need to be a Demag expert. You need the data plate, a photo, and the willingness to answer one annoying question: Is this the exact part number on the machine, or is this the part number you think it should be?

Bottom Line: Start With the Data Plate, Not the Search Box

Looking at a Demag-branded part without the machine spec is like asking stork vs crane and deciding to carry the load with whichever bird shows up first. You need the right bird for the job, and you need the right part for the machine.
